Mobile Bar brings you to Amex Nitro Networking. Staff from various departments will get to know each other and how they work. It is a very meaningful event as staff will appreciate more of how the other colleagues are fairing. The ultimate goal is to bridge the staff.

Staff will do the introduction of who they are , which department they are from within Amex. While they are doing that, our Mobile Bar team serve them with mocktails. Free flow for the whole entire session! Networking while having mocktails. How cliche is that?

Tara Mcpherson with Darkroom Army, for the first time in Singapore, to launch not only the limted edition camera, Fed 5B - 'Love Blow', but to also alunch her thrid volume, 'Bunny in the Moon'.

Unique collaboration with some of the brightest Urban Street Artists in Singapore, along with the Darkroom Army resident artist, Phu. Drinkdings Mobile Bar Solution served a free flow of cocktails and moctails to all guests! All cocktails and mocktails are mixed and served on the spot. Freshly made cocktails each time, everytime.

To celebrate the end of the gruelling 2 weeks of Takashimaya Food Fest, we held a Martini BBQ party for all who had helped make the food fest happen. It was a cosy gathering and in true Drinkdings spirit, we had the usual spills and merlions at the party.

Farm at Iluma (13 Jun 09)

Once again our troubleshooting skills are put to the test - this time to construct a bar top from some metal and string! Don't you love this job? Drinkdings served at the design initiative's, Farm, monthly designer meet up sessions. The designer crowd loved our Stirrings bottles so much they asked for the empty ones to take home! Only a designer would appreciate the design, shape and size of the bottle I guess. I hope the bottles are finding useful lives as containers or display pieces of some sort.

Unilever's Unity in Diversity (30 Apr 09)

Ice-cream unites us all indeed! and so do cocktails! This was a totally way out event. The Unilever international team were in Singapore for a corporate updates meeting and ended their week-long thinking session with this colourful event where everyone was dressed from a different country. Drinkdings served up 5 country-themed cocktails and a selection of international beers, while everyone was entertained by performers representing the different continents - snake charmers, chinese dancers, indian bhangra ...

I remember the event organiser calling us 5 times just before the event - apparently, a few performers had bailed on her and she was worried we'd not show up! We'd never do that! How unprofessional of them.

ISS Grand Opening (18 Mar 09)

While Kat was at STB, I was at the ISS Grand Opening ... all the way in Jurong, setting up for this 400 plus event.

We'd met the ISS team a few days before for some potential partnerships and they invited us to serve and promote our Mobile Bar Service at their opening party. They'd just moved into a brand new, and much larger factory/office space. Doing well!

The food was exceptional, as were the cocktails!

Citibank Ready Credit Awards Night (18 Mar 09)

We had a blast at the Citibank Ready Credit Awards Night for cardholders held at the tropical-themed Singapore Tourism Board foyer. Amidst the birds and foliage, we served, demonstrated and awarded.

Oh - the caterers forgot the cups for the coffee and tea at this event - but lucky everyone preferred the cocktails! (obviously!)

Ladies only! We gave out pretty pink doorgifts with our new mini Stirrings bottles taking the limelight. The party was filled with fun-loving urbanites. Check out the Delectable Delights we had on display!

Aboard the Harbour Queen - Standard Chartered's Management Cruise

Setting up our mobile bar on the boat was rather fun, albeit a little challenging. No room for tardiness - the boat docked at the pier at 530, we boarded with all our gear, glasses, mixers, alcohols, and the boat left 10 minutes later. While we were setting up, the vessel was actually on a little side cruise to nowhere.

Here's Kat showing off our "handiwork", although she looks pretty composed right now, not a few minutes earlier! It was squeezy, rocky, and slippery... and lesson one: don't wear heels on a boat .. actually, change that to "don't wear heels at any event we have to set up for!"

Getting the decorations up on the deck was a tad more tricky, as the waves rocked the boat gently, and the wind threatened to whip away our chiffons.

Managed to snap a few quick shots of the bar in action before I bounded off the Harbour Queen.

Crossed our fingers that all would be well at sea as we watched the Harbour Queen sail off into the Marina South sunset, ballon arch still in place.

Tasting or drinking?

I received a comment from an ASME member when I said I was thirsty, and took a Pear Martini. Member said, "Are you allowed to drink on the job?" and I glanced at him an replied "Why start a business if you can't drink on the job?"

Kat and I were nondescriptedly dressed in our serving uniforms of yellow cap and white polo tee and naturally, everyone thought we were serving staff, so we had to get an ASME sticker and start talking to people before they gave us much attention.

Next time, we'll dress to impress.
